Annapurna round trek is a strenuous trekking route.Trekkers should have physical fitness and desire of trekking is most important for strenuous trek, the trail goes gradually up from easy to strenuous. Usually, walk 6 to 8 hours although there may be some days could longer. The Annapurna circuit trek is considered one of the best treks in the world. The trek goes anti-clockwise from Besisahar to Nayapul/ Beni and reaches it summit in Thorung – La (pass) at the height of 5416 meter. The route goes past the following mountains: Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Himal, Annapurna II and IV Annapurna III and Gangapurna and of course, Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri passing through the world’s deepest gorge in between those two 8,000-plus meter peak. You can enjoy Totopani (natural hot spring) at the end of trek, At this point, several options are available: following the river further to the road proper to Beni and catching a bus to Pokhara or adding on a trek to the Annapurna Base camp (Annapurna sanctuary) and Poon hill Ghorepani trek. Poon hill affords incredible views of those two mountains as well as South Annapurna and Machhapuchre the “Fishtail Mountain”.
This is a “teahouse trek” meaning there are villages with lodges and restaurants to eat and stay in along the entire route.

ANNAPURNA ROUND TREK ITINERARY DETAILS


DAY|01|  ARRIVED TO KATHMANDU (1300 METER)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by of our representatives, who will bring you to your hotel. After you have been settled in at your hotel, our representative will brief you in detail about your travel itinerary. After which, you will be taken on a stroll of the local market. In the evening, we offer you a welcome dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with Nepalese traditional cultural program.

DAY|02|  KATHMANDU CITY TOUR (1300 METER) 

Today, you will be taken on an interesting guided tour of Kathmandu city, you will visit historical monuments and religious holy places like temples, Stupas and durbar squares. The rest of the time, we will spend in preparation for trek.

DAY|03|  DRIVE TO BENSISAHAR (820 METER)  

After an early breakfast, we begin the trip with a long drive. This will take us along The Kathmandu – Pokhara highway. After a six-hour scenic drive, we finally reach Besisahar, then we catch a jeep, or local transportation to Kudi village for an overnight stay.

DAY|04|  TREK TO BAHUNDANDA (1310 METER)  

We will have an early morning breakfast, then we will walk northwards up the Marshangdi valley. We will now see The Annapurna range very clearly for the first time. The trail follows terraced rice fields, offering great views of Manaslu. We take a lunch break at Ngadi village. On leaving Ngadi, we trek to Bahundanda, which literally means Brahmin hill and largely inhabited by Brahmins.

DAY|05|  TREK TO JAGAT (1290 METER)  

A steep trail descends from Bahundanda before crossing a small river. It then climbs again and traverses the hillside before reaching the village of Hani Gaon. We follow the winding mountain path down through Syange and along the river for some distance. The trail then climbs steeply and the path is cut into the sheer cliff- face above the river- bed. Eventually we descend to the stone village of Jagat for an overnight stay.

DAY|06|  TREK TO dHARAPANI ( 1920 METER)   

The trail from Jagat descends until it reaches the river and then continues through a lush forest before ascending to a sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank. After crossing a suspension bridge, we climb steeply on the path to settle and then to Tal. As we walk away from Tal, the path becomes rugged and winding and we pass the forested village of Karte before Dharapani village.

DAY|07|  TREK TO CHAME (2630 METER)  

Today, we start to trek through a narrow field and cross Dudh Khola. We then reach Bagarchhap village with colorful prayer flags. Here now, Annapurna II becomes clearly visible. Further, the Marshangdi River enters a gorge and the trails follows rock-strewn path. The route reaches a large white gate with a corrugated iron roof, which is the entrance of Chame village. There is electricity and wireless internet facility.

DAY|08|  TREK TO PISANG (3190 METER)  

Today, we head towards Pisang village, crossing a long suspension bridge over Marshangdi River. The trail meanders through fields leading to Bratang. After leaving the forested village, further on, we continue up steep trail to the south side and cross a long suspension bridge at 3040 meters enter the Pisang village rest of time enjoy in lodge.

DAY|09|  TREK TO MANANG (3520 METER) 

Today we head along a steep incline, with wonderful views of Manag valley, Tilicho peak and we then arrive at Hongde. The trail then leads to the wide plain of the Saje Khola valley. Further, we continue along the cultivated rice fields and reach to Bryaga village that has a beautiful monastery. During the hike, we can see views of the Annapurna range- Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Ganagprna, Tilicho peak etc.

DAY|10|  REST DAY FOR ACCLIMATIZATION   

Today we will take rest in Manang to acclimatize. We will then cross the Thorung – La. in the afternoon. We will make a short hiking trip around and explore Manang village.

DAY|11|  TREK TO THORUNG- PHEDI   

Today, we cross a tributary below a falls northwest of Manang and climb gradually to a ridge before descending to the headwaters of the Marshangdi. Further on, we hike along attractive meadows with an occasional birth grove. After a short ascent on the right bank, we follow a narrow trail across an unstable steep slope to reach to Thorung – Phedi/ Base camp.

DAY|12|  CLIMBI TO THORUNG- TOP(5416 M) TREK DOWN TO MUKTINATH (3800 M) 

Today, we start to as early as we can to cross the pass; otherwise, weather conditions will badly affect the journey. The trail becomes steep immediately on leaving camp. After 4 hours of steady climbing, we reach to Thorung – Top at an altitude of 5416 meters. Throng – Top offers dramatic views of snow-covered mountains, to the head of the KaliGandaki valley below and the brown and purple hill of Mustang. Further on, a pleasant walk to Muktinath, offers excellent views of Dhaulagiri and surroundings with its shrines and temple.

DAY|13|  TREK TO JOMSOM (2700 METER) 

After breakfast, we begin the descent down the dramatic Kali Gandaki valley. After passing through Jharkot village with typical Tibetan architecture, we follow the valley floor most of the way to Jomsom. En-route, we get tremendous views of both Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Jomsom town is the districts headquarter of Mustang, spread along both bank of the Kali Gandaki River, and it is here we will spend the last night of the trek.

DAY|14|  FLIGHT TO POKHARA (820 METER)

We take an early morning spectacular flight to Pokhara along the Kali Gandaki gorge, which provides wonderful views of both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range. In the afternoon, we explore Pokhara City; it is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Everyone has heard about the amazing beauty of Nature and the millions of visitors that arrive in Pokhara every year.

DAY|15|  FLY OR DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU 

Fly or driver  back to Kathmandu then transfer to your hotel. After you have refreshed, we will visit around Thamel (shopping area) . In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner. Stay overnight at hotel on B.B basis.

DAY|16|  DEPARTURE OR FAREWELL 

Today ends your Annapurna circuit trekking trip in Nepal. Our representative will take you to the airport 3 hour before your scheduled departure. On your flight home, you will have plenty of time to plan your next wonderful trip to Nepal!

SAFETY & SUCCESS  

Our principle is first safety then success so kindly request to all our trekkers, when you start the trip, do not walk alone, always follow the group, do not make ostentatious display of valuable possessions and do not leave lodge door unlocked. Always follows the rules of Acute Mountain Sickness.
 

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD  

During the trek, all accommodations will be on twin sharing basis. However, teahouse / lodges of some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities and food will be provided at lodge chose from menu, all types of international cuisine including typical Nepali food. As the trail goes up the water, prices increase. It is possible to use water purification tablets as option.
 

SHOWERS

In the beginning of trek, you may find running hot water for shower, but as you climb do not expect for daily shower. If want or need to wash your body further on trek, you can ask for bucket of hot water, if it is possible.
 

ACCLIMATIZATION 

All trek itineraries are planned with level of awareness of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above 3000meters. You should have to be familiar with the symptoms and do not ignore it. If you or anyone in your group begins to experience symptoms of AMS then do not heisted or delay inform to your group leader (trekking guide).
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

This is non-technical trekking route will push you but do not require any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. You will want to be in good physical condition and be able to trek for 5-7 hours daily at altitude.
 

INSURENCE 

Insurance policy should cover for helicopter evacuation expenses in the eventuality of a serious illness or accident. The insurance should also cover for possible evacuation in case of getting stranded in remote airfield due to bad weather condition.
