ACCOMMODATION

Accommodations during this trip are on twin sharing basis and are of different standards according to the place of visit: Hotels in Bhutan are approved and classified by the government as grade A, B & C. and in Nepal & Tibet we accommodate you in Hotel 3 star standard hotel (on request can upgrade).

Regarding the foods, we provide you breakfast in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Tibet, and full board in Chitwan and Bhutan. We offer a welcome and farewell dinner in Kathmandu. Lunch and dinner are not included in the cost during the trip Kathmandu, Pokhara and Tibet.

Destination Management Inc. organizes your Tibet visa (permits), Bhutanese visa, Chinese visa. Nepal visa is easily available upon arrival in Kathmandu airport. 
 
 

DAY|01|  ARRIVED TO KATHMANDU (1300 METER)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by of our representatives, who will bring you to your hotel. After you have been settled in at your hotel, our representative will brief you in detail about your travel itinerary. After which, you will be taken on a stroll of the local market. In the evening, we offer you a welcome dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with Nepalese traditional cultural program.
 

DAY|02|  KATHMANDU CITY TOUR (1300 METER) 

Today, you will be taken on an interesting guided tour of Kathmandu city, you will visit historical monuments and religious holy places like temples, Stupas and durbar squares. The rest of the time, we will spend in preparation for the trip to Bhutan.
 

DAY|03|  KATHMANDU TO PARO (2250 METER)  

Early morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Paro, this flight offers spectacular views of the awesome peaks, like Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga and including the sacred Bhutan peaks such as Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. On arrival in Paro Airport, you will be greeted by of our representative, who will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit the Paro Dzong, and religious institutions. Visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. From there we move to the Drugyal Dzong built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan's victory over Tibetan invaders during the 1600s.
 

DAY|04|  HIKE TO TIGER'S NEST THEN DRIVE TO THIMPU (2320 METER)  

After breakfast hike to Tiger's Nest, (Taktsang Monastery) Bhutan's most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche is said to have flown on the back of a tigress from Singye Dzong in Lhuentse to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. After exploring the monastery, hike down to the Paro. After lunch, drive to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan.
 

DAY|05|  THIMPU CITY TOURS THEN DRIVE TO PUNAKHA (1250 METER)  

After breakfast, visit the King's Memorial Chorten, the radio tower for a great view of Thimphu Valley and Thimphu Dzong, and the zoo. Further, visit a nunnery temple, The National Library, The School of Arts and Crafts. After lunch, drive to Punakha with a stop en route for a tea break at Dochu La (3,100 m), on a clear day one can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Drive downhill through forests of rhododendron, fir and hemlock. Arrive at Punakha after traversing through rice field and along the bank of Punakha River. In the evening visit to Punakha Dzong.
 

DAY|06|  PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING THEN DRIVE TO PARO (2250 METER) 

After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro. On the way, visit Chimi Lhakhang, which is a fertility temple dedicated to Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Receive blessings from the Lama`s wooden phallus! You will stop in Thimphu for lunch. After lunch, visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine and Majestic Tashichhodzong. Later in the evening, you can drive to Paro.


DAY|07|  PARO TO KATHMANDU (1300 METER)  

Druk Airline, generally departs early morning to avoid adverse weather conditions, so we have an early breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Paro airport to catch your short but scenic flight to return to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu, we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel, the rest of time; you can just rest and relax at the hotel or you can explore surrounding area and visit to a tourist hub of Thamel for shopping. In the evening, participate in a farewell dinner.
 

DAY|08|  KATHMANDU TO CHITWAN Day  

After an early morning breakfast, we drive to Chitwan, (150 km) south from Kathmandu. All the way, we descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel, and when lunch is over, we will then brief you in detail about your nature program. Then we will head on for our activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. After dinner, we offer you a cultural ethnic program.


DAY|09|  FULL DAY JUNGLE ACTIVITIES/ ELEPHANT SAFARI

Today, you will be busy exploring wildlife. The Chitwan National Park is also home to rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild bison, Gangetic dolphin, 500 species of birds, butterflies, as well as the near extinct Gharials crocodiles. You can do a number of activities here. An elephant safari, a nature walk, bird watching, and a canoe trip. You may even take a bath with an elephant and learn how to wash your elephant, which will be one of the fondest memories of the lifetime.
 

DAY|10|  CHITWAN TO POKHARA (820 METER)  

After Breakfast, we then drive to Pokhara. The beautiful Lake city Pokhara offers some magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Lamjung himal, Machhapuchhare and Annapurna Himalaya range. Pokhara's numerous lakes, offer fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming. Pokhara is also the gateway for trekking in the Annapurna Region.
 

DAY|11|  FULL DAY POKHARA SIGHTSEEING  

We spend a full day exploring Pokhara. Enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Mt. Machhapuvhre (Fish Tail Peak) in the blue Phewa Lake waters. We take the boat across the lake and take an hour's walk to the World Peace Pagoda. We also visit to the Gupteshwar cave (Shiva Gufa). Some of the other places that we visit today include the Seti River Gorge, Devi's fall and the mountain museum etc.
 

DAY|12|  SUNRISE TRIP TO SARANGKOT (1500 METER) THEN FLY TO KATHMANDU 

Early morning we drive to the top of Sarangkot Hill for the sunrise view over the Himalayas. After breakfast we proceed to drive back to Kathmandu. After we have arrived in Kathmandu, settled into your hotel and after you have rested, you may choose to explore the surrounding area and visit the tourist hub of Thamel, where you can enjoy some shopping. In the evening, “Destination Management Inc.” offers you a farewell dinner party.
 

DAY|13|  KATHMANDU TO LHASA / TIBET  

Fly to the highest capital in the world, Lhasa of Tibet. Take pleasure in the amazing views of the Himalaya, including Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and the Tibetan valleys. Our Tibetan representative will meet you at the airport we then have scenic drive to your hotel in Lhasa. After you have been settled in at your hotel, our representative will brief you in detail about your itinerary. After which, you will be taken on a stroll of the local market. Take it easy today to acclimatize to the high altitude.
 

DAY|14|  LHASA SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast at hotel, our tour begins with a visit to Sera Monastery. We visit Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. Jokhang Temple is another important blessed site, which is imporant is in to Tibetan Buddhist. We visit to Barkhor squre and this can be quite a change from other visits as we roam around the city.
 

DAY|15|  LHASA SIGHTSEEING 

Lhasa life certainly offers glimpses into one of the most preserved ancient cultural heritages. Like the previous day, you experience invaluable insights during your visits to Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. This 17th century Potala Palace offers an awesome view of entire city and has private quarters of the Dalai Lama. Ancient history has it that Drepung Monastery which was built in14th century used to shelter around 10,000 monks.
 

DAY|16|  FINAL DEPARTURE (OR EXTEND YOUR TRIP)

The adventure holiday trip in the Himalayas ends today. If you have time and interest, you can do some shopping. Our representative will take you to the airport for your onward journey. You can either get back to Kathmandu or continue to mainland China on your way to home. We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and we are sure you will be back for a trip to the Himalayas again.
